Dean will casually show you a new trick he's been "fiddling around with," and it seriously baffles you for weeks to come. Often the principles of magic we are all familiar and comfortable with cannot be used to explain his innovative routines. In 1997 Dean invented a trick called Blizzard which badly fooled all those who witnessed it. Blizzard completely destroyed some of the best minds in the world of close-up magic.

Although magicians from far and wide enjoy being baffled by Dean's perfectly honed craft, he's by no means a "magician's magician" who knows a thousand tricks but cannot relate to a single audience member. Dean's performance persona and his off-stage (or off close-up pad) persona are one and the same. When the audience watches Dean they get the feeling that he's a warm and down to earth guy that just happens to be able to alter space and time as we know it.
